This
section contains the necessary software and libraries that are required
to run many programs. Most of these files are a part of the windows
environment and may already be present in your computer system.
If you experience Runtime errors and or if the programs do not launch
then download the appropriate files.
Visual
Basic Runtimes
Before
you can install or run a program written in Visual Basic, you must
first install the "Visual Basic Runtime". A runtime need
only be installed once. It's files are then shared by every VB program
you install.
There
are four versions of the VB runtime, one for each release of the
VB programming language. The version of the runtime you should install
depends on the version of the VB language used to write the VB program
you want to run. For example, to run a program written in VB v6.0,
you must install the Visual Basic Runtime v6.0. This site contains
programs written in VB v6.0. For
more information about Visual Basic, visit Microsoft's
VB web site.
